1. About the Service
Dipplo is an English learning application that uses news and video content as a learning engine. We aggregate publicly available content from sources such as Google News and YouTube, and use artificial intelligence to generate English summaries, audio versions, podcast-style conversations, and vocabulary exercises tailored to your proficiency level.
2. User Accounts
To use Dipplo, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Dipplo only for its intended purpose of English language learning. You may not: attempt to reverse-engineer the service, use automated tools to scrape or extract data, share your account with others, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
4. Content & Intellectual Property
The summaries, audio, podcasts, and vocabulary exercises generated by Dipplo are created using AI and are provided for your personal learning use. The original source content (news articles, YouTube videos) remains the property of their respective owners. Dipplo does not claim ownership of source content. Your personal data (topics, preferences, vocabulary progress) belongs to you.
5. AI-Generated Content
Dipplo uses artificial intelligence (OpenAI and Groq) to generate summaries, audio, and podcast content. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors. This content is provided for educational purposes and should not be relied upon as a primary news source. Dipplo is a learning tool, not a news service.
6. Plans & Billing
Dipplo offers free and paid plans. Free plan features may be limited. Paid plan pricing and features are displayed on the pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers. Refund policies will be detailed when paid plans become available.
7. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the account settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of Liability
Dipplo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, accuracy of AI-generated content, or suitability for any particular learning goal. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dipplo's liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the last 12 months.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Brazil.
